A man and a woman are being treated in Cork University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries after they entered the River Lee at the Mary Elmes Bridge this morning.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochana told RedFM News that Gardaí assisted local emergency services with the rescue operation, which began at around 20 past 9 this morning.
Brian Boru Bridge was closed for a period of time but the diversions have now been removed.
