A woman in her 50's was punched in the head by an intruder in her home who also hit her multiple times with a metal travel mug.
28 year old Edmond O’Sullivan appeared before Cork District Court charged with aggravated burglary and assault.
He was arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Inchera Close in Mahon in the early hours of Monday morning.
