The man in his late 20s was stopped and searched on Oliver Plunkett street by Gardaí on foot patrol after they noticed the man acting suspiciously.
He was found to be in possession of the two knives and was arrested and taken to the Bridewell Garda station.
He's due to appear in Cork District Court on July 8th
