Gardaí in Togher have arrested and charged a man following an armed robbery in Ballincollig yesterday.
The incident occurred on the Main Street of the town.
"At approximately quarter past 7 yesterday evening, a lone man in his late 30s entered a business premises on the Main Street of Ballincollig.
He was armed with a weapon and proceeded to threaten staff members.
The man left the scene in a taxi with a number of items and property.
In a follow up search of the area, officers arrested a man in his late 30s and property from the premises was located.
He was taken to the Bridewell for questioning where he was charged in relation to the incident.
He's due to appear in Cork City Court tomorrow morning.
The investigation is ongoing."
