A man has been arrested as part of the investigation into the death of Paula Canty.
The body of the 31 year old was discovered at a house on Bridewell Lane in Mallow on Friday.
A murder probe has been launched following her postmortem and Gardai believe she died as a result of foul play.
A man in his 40s was arrested yesterday afternoon and is currently detained at a Garda station in the Southern Region.
In a statement to RedFM News, Gardaí said:
Gardaí in Mallow are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in her 30s who was found at a residential property on Bridewell Lane, Mallow, Co. Cork on Friday, 3rd January, 2025.
A man aged in his 40s was arrested this afternoon in relation to this investigation and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the Southern Region.
