A man in his 30s has been arrested following a number of recently reported robberies from Taxi drivers in Cork City.
He is currently being detained for questioning at Mayfield Garda Station
The man has been arrested in relation to three incidents in one week where Cork taxi drivers were threatened.
On the 6th of October, a sum of cash was taken after a male Taxi driver was threatened and robbed at knife point by a male passenger at Spring Lane, Blackpool.
On the 12th of October a male Taxi driver was threated and robbed at knife point after picking up male passenger on Thomas Davis Street where a sum of cash and mobile phone was taken from the driver.
In a third incident, a male Taxi driver was threatened at knife point after picking up a passenger in the Mayfield area on the 13th of October however no property was taken.
It's understood that in each case none of the drivers were physically injured in the three incidents
