A man has been charged following the seizure of €70,000 worth of heroin in Cork.
The discovery was made yesterday on the M8 motorway in Fermoy at a Covid-19 checkpoint.
A car was stopped shortly after midnight, and the passenger was found with four large bags of heroin in his jacket.
A man, who is in his 30s, was arrested and charged at Fermoy Garda Station.
He is due to appear before the courts at a later date.
