The discovery was made at Kent Station on Friday.
Cliona O'Dwyer reports for RedFM News:
"The drugs were found when the Cork City Divisional Drug Unit and Southern Regional Dog Unit were patrolling a train station in Cork City.
The Garda Dog Rex sniffed out the drugs after a search was carried out at around half past 3 on Friday afternoon.
35 thousand euro worth of Diamorphine was recovered.
A man in his 50's who was arrested was being questioned at Mayfield Garda Station and remains in Garda custody.
He's been charged in connection with the case and will appear before a special sitting of Cork District Court at 11 o'clock this morning."
