A man's been rescued from a speedboat off the West Cork Coast.
His boat got into difficulty when it became snagged on a rope and was unable be manoeuvred.
Castletownbere RNLI lifeboat went to his aid this afternoon and found the speedboat just off Dunboy Point within Berehaven Harbour.
The volunteer crew were able to free it using a grappling hook and then cutting the snagged rope.
The lifeboat took the vessel under tow to safety at Castletownbere Pier some time later.
