The man who drove Ireland's Olympic gold rowers home to Cork when they met on a flight says the lads were very laid back about their transport arrangements
Gold medallists Paul O’Donovan and Fintan McCarthy from Skibbereen had planned to get the Air Coach home after they landed in Dublin Airport on Tuesday
Kieran Duggan met the rowers on the flight and struck up a conversation with them and when he heard they had no transport organised to Cork offered them a lift
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show he says he wasn't sure if the lads would take him up on the offer
"When the cheering ended and people congratulating them slowed, I caught Fintan's eye and went over and asked if they still needed the lift, fully expecting him to say no. And he said "Yeah, how many can you fit it?"
