The man had fallen overboard whilst trying to free a rope that was caught around the propeller of his yacht.
He managed to get back onboard where he raised the alarm and the lifeboat arrived on scene to find the crew of two local angling vessels already on scene and providing assistance.
The casualty was returned to shore by the lifeboat crew and no further medical assistance was needed.
