Management at Cork University Hospital have launched an investigation into alleged racism against a nurse.
The Journal.ie is reporting that an external investigator was appointed by the hospital after a formal complaint was made.
It concerns the alleged treatment of an Indian nurse by a senior staff member during the hospital’s adaptation programme.
The Journal says the hospital received similar allegations over a year ago, when 29 nurses signed a letter reporting attitudes towards Indian nurses in the adaptation programme.
RedFM News has contacted CUH for a statement.
