Management at Páirc Ui Chaoimh say two controversial planned car parks are necessary.
The Ballintemple Area Residents Association have submitted a 25 page objection to the plans, which they say will result in more cars in the area.
They have also raised concerns about the proximity of the car parks to the Marina Park and the Atlantic Pond.
Speaking to RedFM News, Director of the Páirc Uí Chaoimh stadium board Michael O'Flynn says plans for a new entrance to the stadium are necessary due to the pedestrianisation of the Marina:
"The pedestrianisation of the Marina totally changed the vehicular access. That's without question. So we're changing that. You know, I would contend that this was a necessary change anyway but with pedestrianisation, it's an essential change. So we're bringing a new entrance off Monaghan Road that has been used to up to 2000 vehicles a day for as the HSE Vaccination Centre."
