They've accepted an invitation to attend the Labour Court for exploratory talks.
Both the Medical Laboratory Scientists Association and HSE/Department of Health have accepted the invitation.
The MLSA has now called on its 2,100 members to resume work as normal tomorrow.
Thousands of hospital procedures have been cancelled as a result today's strike and action last week.
Stephen McMahon, from the Irish Patients Association, says this evening's development is very positive:
"The Irish Patients Association welcomes the decision by the Medical Laboratory Scientists Association to call off their action tomorrow. The 30,000 Plus patients that were affected by the strike must be rescheduled back into the system with extra clinics and theatre space."
