The Echo is reporting today that members of the group are spending long hours cleaning up after seaside-visitors at Gobby and Luc beaches.
The group say they collected 21 bags of rubbish from Luc beach alone last week, and are frustrated because some people are leaving disposable barbeques, glass bottles, can and towles after them, with some even going so far as to bury their rubbish in the sand dunes, ignoring the safety of other beach-users.
The Ringaskiddy Tidy Towns had installed bins but these were burnt out last weekend..
The paper is also reporting that signs asking people to bring their items home with them were torn down.
