Armed Gardaí rushed outside their headquarters on Anglesea St today as men with weapons got into a fight
Gardaí said that a slash hook, a hatchet and a machete were involved.
Two men aged 22 and 24 got in an altercation just a few metres from the Garda station in Cork City around midday today.
Gardaí said a number of offensive weapons were involved at the scene that occurred outside their headquarters on Anglesea St.
The men were arrested and are now being detained at Bridewell Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. and Gardaí told RedFM news that investigations into this incident are currently ongoing.
