The ED is dealing with a surge in the amount of people this morning and is warning of long delays.
Management at the hospital say they want to stress that the needs of all patients are being met, however they're asking patients with less urgent complaints to contact their GP or Southdoc.
They are reminding the public that they can also attend local injury units in Bantry, Mallow and Gurranabraher for treatment.
