Met Éireann says West Cork could see the worst of the storm that's tracking towards Ireland.
Storm Éowyn is forecast to bring heavy wind and rain on Thursday and Friday.
The forecaster says it's monitoring the evolving situation and will issue weather warnings over the coming days.
Speaking to RedFM News, Andrew Doran-Sherlock from Met Éireann says the west of the county looks set to be affected:
"So it is going to approach from the SouthWest through Thursday night and Friday. Now, at this stage, there is some uncertainty in the exact track of it, but certainly, I'd say West Cork is probably the most likely to see the greater impacts, but this could change between now and then."
