The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and employment says the government will do everything it can to help people who have lost their jobs to find new employment.
Minister Simon Coveney was speaking after several job cuts were announced this week that will impact staff across Ireland and in Cork.

Speaking to RedFM News, Minister Simon Coveney says the government remain confident in the Irish economy:
"Right across the Irish economy is well-balanced now. It's growing. There are more people employed in Ireland today than ever before. And that is our starting position here, which means we are entering 2023 from a position of strength, not weakness. Certainly people who are unfortunate enough to lose their jobs, we will make sure that there are other jobs available for them and that we will help them avail of those new opportunities".
