The Minister of State with responsibility for the OPW says businesses have a right to trade in an environment where the threat of flooding doesn't hang over them.
Fine Gael's Patrick O'Donovan made the comments on a visit in Cork where he met with various stakeholders including Cork Chamber of Commerce and the City Council to discuss the progression of the Lower Lee Flood Relief Scheme.
He has moved to assure the city that the OPW is fully committed to mitigating flood risk in Cork City through the implementation of the €150 million project.
