A minutes silence was held in City Hall last evening to honour all victims of racism here in Cork and across the country.
It follows a Black Lives Matter protest on the Grand Parade yesterday which was attended by hundreds.
The demonstration was held in solidarity with George Floyd who died after being restrained by a police officer.
Those in attendance knelt for eight minutes 46 seconds, which is the length of time a police officer was seen kneeling on George Floyd's neck.
