Close to €14,000 euro has been fundraised for a Cork mother who lost two sons to drug overdoses in the space of a month.
Christine Kavanagh's 30 year old son Dillon died from an overdose in a homeless shelter in the city on the 23rd of January.
It happened just 3 weeks after her older 36 year old son Damien was found dead in his flat in Wale's on the 6th of January.
Christine, who lost 4 sons in 9 years, told the Neil Prendeville Show heroin addiction has had a detrimental impact on her children:
"I never blame my children for addiction, my first son passed away from a seizure. He was only diagnosed three weeks for epilepsy loss. it was just like no words can describe the way we feel as a family."
