A motorcyclist in his 70's is in a serious condition after a crash just off the Dunkettle Interchange
yesterday evening.
Gardaí in Mayfield are investigating the single collision that happened on the M8 at approximately 5pm yesterday when the man's bike hit traffic management signage.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Forensic Collision investigators examined the scene and the road has reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and for any road users with video footage including dash cam to make this available to them.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a road crash in Limerick, in which a man was killed.
A 26 year old motorcyclist died after he collided with a wall and metal fence at O'Malley Park in Southill, at around 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
