A motorist in Mallow was clocked travelling at 157kph in a 100kph zone during the bank holiday weekend Garda road policing operation
Nationally more than 2,200 drivers were caught speeding during the 5 day operation which ran from Thursday morning until yesterday at 7am.
A motorist was detected travelling at 206 kilometres per hour in a 120 zone on the M6 in Ballinasloe, while another was caught doing 126 kilometres per hour in a 60 zone in Bruree in Limerick.
Four people died on our roads over the St. Brigid's Bank Holiday weekend.
