Motorists are asked to drive with care across all roads in the city and county today as Cork is under a yellow weather rain warning.
The weather warning is in place until 3am tomorrow morning.
Heavy spells of persistent rain are affecting parts of Munster and Leinster.
Met Eireann's also warned that localised flooding is possible.
Anglesea Street Gardai are advising motorists to slow down and drive with care as some spot flooding has been reported on a number of low lying streets around the city elsewhere gardai across the county say there are no reports of any major flooding incidents but care is advised on all secondary routes across the day.
