A new one-way road for traffic heading east on the N8 from Cork City will link to the 'Glanmire to Glounthaune' Road.
A new two-way road will also link the Glanmire to Glounthaune Road to Little Island by a bridge over the N25.
A new cycleway linking Tivoli roundabout to Little Island is also due to open this afternoon.
Drivers are being asked to pay attention to the new signage this morning.
