Nearly 11,000 patients have been treated on trolleys at Cork University Hospital so far this year

Nationally more than 100 thousand patients have been treated in hospital without a bed since January

INMO data shows University Hospital Limerick remains the most overcrowded in the country, followed by Cork University Hospital, and Galway.

The nursing union has already begun balloting its members in relation to a potential strike action over the ongoing recruitment restrictions within the HSE.
