A new Emergency Response team has been set up in North Cork.
The team is made up of Dr Adrian Sheahan from Mallow, four other paramedics, and Emergency Medical Technicians volunteering in the area.
They are being funded by the emergency medicine charity, CRITICAL to respond to serious incidents and potentially life-threatening medical emergencies in the region.
They will work closely with the National Ambulance Service to provide additional emergency cover in Charleville, Kanturk, Millstreet, Mallow and Fermoy.
