Nine international students are living in a three bedroom house in Cork city and paying over €5000 a month in rent plus bills
The house at the Lough, is in very good condition, however the students are sharing bedrooms and there is severe pressure on the water boiler with nine people taking daily showers
Joao Campos is from Brazil and is paying €600 for a bedroom in the house and says the kitchen can only be used on a roster basis as it is too small to accommodate all the occupants of the house
Joao told the Neil Prendeville Show the house is very cramped and the rent is very high
"The price is so expensive, one of the rooms is too small, and have three guys in the same room. Nine people need to take a shower, but the boiler is not for nine people. Everybody here in the house had to sit down and work out a roster before cooking in the kitchen as it would be too crowded if they were all to cook at the one time"
