A dog breeder from North Cork has been fined and sentenced to three months in prison and banned from keeping any animal for 15 years
41 year old Vasyl Fedoryn from Ballypierce in Charleville was ordered to pay almost €20,000 in costs and fines, after the judge described his lack of care for his dogs as “absolutely appalling”.
The court heard how in April 2023 an ISPCA Inspector discovered thirteen Collies and German Shepherds at the property, living in horrendous conditions without access to water
An immediate decision was made to seize all the dogs - four of the dogs had be to euthanised, three of the German shepherds could not walk properly due to malnourishment and some of the Collies were feral due to their confinement
