The number of people reaching out for financial advice in Cork has soared.
The Money Advice and Budgeting Service in the city says it helped 2 thousand people struggling to pay their bills last year.
Advisors expect a spike in people coming to the service for help in the run up to Christmas.
Speaking to RedFM News, Ursula Collins from MABS in Cork says anyone struggling should reach out to the service:
"In Cork alone we supported 2000 people, nationally we supported over 26,000 people, the cost of living is high, the interest rates are still high, and people need the support of an organisation like MABS, so we're here come and talk to us and we can assist you."
