Nurses are joining healthcare workers to stage a demonstration outside Cork University Hospital this lunchtime
The action involving the INMO, FÓRSA and SIPTU has been called as a direct response to the deepening dispute over staffing levels with the HSE and the Department of Health
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation say their members are no longer willing to work around unsafe staffing levels at the hospital
Colm Porter of the INMO told RedFM News he expects today's demonstration will be well supported:
"It's the INMO, but it's also all of the other healthy unions that will be involved in it. So we're hoping for a very strong turnout from our own members and from other members of the of trade unions who have members within CUH."
