A nursing home in Belgooly will close its doors for the final time on the 24th October.
HIQA has made the decision to accelerate the closure of the Aperee Living nursing home.
A spokesperson for Aperee Living told RedFM that the home "is in the process of being wound down", and that families are being regularly updated.
They say Aperee Living Belgooly are working with the HSE and Nursing Homes Ireland to find suitable, alternative accommodation in the region for its residents.
In a statement to RedFM, Cork Kerry Community Healthcare says "A HSE team is working to support residents under the Nursing Home Support Scheme" and that the HSE understands "that this is a difficult time for residents and their families".
