Sean Keating's 'Men of the South' is a core piece in Crawford's collection

It will be used to commemorate the midway point of the Irish War of Independence.

Painted in 1921, the portrait depicts 6 members of the Cork North Brigade of the IRA.

The Echo reports the stamp is one of 4 to be created in 2020 to mark the war, which lasted from 1919 to 1921.
