The OPW Minister says no decision has been taken about whether construction of modular homes to house Ukrainian refugees will take place at a site in Mallow.
A Health and Safety Authority sign at the site in Carhookeal was put up last week and detailed plans to construct 30 modular homes from today’s date.
However OPW Minister Patrick O’Donovan today said the sign is in relation to site investigation works and that no final decision has been made yet regarding construction of modular homes or how many homes will be built on the site.
Local Councillors have also confirmed that locals will be consulted if the site is approved for the homes following a number of protests there.
