When preparing to have a baby, it almost feels as if you can never have enough clothes, and then within the blink of an eye they’ve grown out of everything you had bought and you’re back in the shops buying more and more.
If you’re at a loss of what to do with those no longer needed baby clothes, which are just taking up space in your house, this organisation is definitely one to check out.
‘Let’s Match Mums’ aims to pair up mums in Direct Provision with mums who have children or a child of a similar age.
The hope is that when your child or children have outgrown their clothes, baby equipment, books or even toys, they can then be donated to the mum you have been paired with.
The organisation are actively searching for parents in Cork to sign up to the initiative. This is due to the large number of families currently in Direct Provision Centres in Cork.
If you are a Cork parent interested in getting involved or a parent living in Direct Provision who may need the help, you can sign up here.
