The organisers of a vigil on Patrick Street in memory of Aisling Murphy today have hit out at a group who will be protesting against current public health restrictions at the same time.
The Independent Campaign for Truth and Proper Healthcare plan to march through the city centre from 2 o'clock and hold a rally outside Bishop Lucey Park.
They are concerned about current public health restrictions including the use of vaccine passports.
The protesters route will cross through a ‘standout’ vigil for Ashling Murphy which is set to take place at the junction of Patrick’s St and Winthrop St, also at two o'clock.
Speaking to RedFM News, a spokesperson for the Covid rally said that they "allerted vigil organisers of the fact that [the] march and rally were scheduled weeks ago" and that the matter is "under discussion".
RedFM News have contacted the organisers of the vigil in memory of Aisling Murphy, ROSA Cork, for comment.
