Storm Barra has knocked over 3,500 customers off the power grid across Cork this morning.
Bishopstown is the worst affected area so far with 1,522 customers without power this morning. Repair crews are working on the issue, when it’s safe to do so, and the estimated time of restoration at this stage is 6pm.
Elsewhere 1,234 customers lost power at Lee Bridge with the power expected to be restored there just before 4pm.
Power outages have also been reported in Kilmoney, Mayfield, Skibbereen, Bantry and Castletownbere.
