Over 600 people were fined yesterday for speeding on the country's roads.
National Slow Down Day saw an increased Garda presence on the roads to crackdown on speed, as schools return from the summer break.
A motorist was caught speeding 25 kilometres over the limit in Rochestown while another driver was clocked speeding at 90 km/h in a 60 zone near Mallow.
