Over 62,000 passengers are expected to travel through Cork Airport this August Bank Holiday weekend.
Tomorrow will be the busiest day - with the bank holiday weekend representing a 17% increase in passenger traffic compared to August '22.
Passengers are being reminded that the Irish Aviation Authority has introduced new security procedures for oversized and bulky clothing and footwear.
Hoodies, loose jackets, sweaters, and shoes/boots above the ankle will have to be removed and placed in a tray for screening.
Speaking to RedFM News, Barry Holland from Cork Airport has this advice for passengers:
"Arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their flight is due to depart. We'd also recommend that passengers check out our website corkairport.com for up to date information. We'd also advise passengers to check our website in relation to passenger security screening information".
