The owners of a restaurant in Mallow have announced they will be closing in September as they are not happy to stand over any further price hikes for customers
In a statement posted on their social media Wild Goose owners Jim and Noel O'Connell say after 22 years of operating the restaurant they feel it is time to cease trading
They described the recent price hikes in their restaurant as "painful" as they believe eating out only has a certain value and say further price rises will make their product too expensive and they are not willing to keep rising prices
The Wild Goose will remain open until September 3rd and they are encouraging anyone who has outstanding vouchers to use them before that time
The statement concludes by thanking all their customers over the last 22 years and their staff
