The owners of Douglas Village Shopping Centre are suing the makers and alleged sellers of a car that caused more than €30m worth of damage to the property.
The defective 06 C registered Opel Zafira car went on fire in the car park last August.
It forced the centre to shut, and it's not expected to reopen again until autumn this year at the earliest.
According to the Irish Examiner Avoncore Limited and Canmont Limited, are taking cases against Leeson Motors Limited, Adam Opel GmbH and Opel Automobile GmbH seeking over €30m in damages.
