Oxfam Ireland has issued an appeal for people to donate their unwanted Christmas gifts when their shops reopen tomorrow.
A survey commissioned by the charity in recent years revealed that 83 per cent of adults have received an unwanted gift on Christmas morning.
Unwanted or duplicate Christmas gifts can be resold at Oxfam Ireland stores to raise funds for their work worldwide.
Oxfam Ireland welcomes donations of items such as clothes, beauty products, books, gadgets, jewellery, bags, accessories, CDs, DVDs, homewares, soft furnishings, and even wedding dresses.
They have two shops in Cork: one on Cook Street and one on French Church Street.
