Parents in Bantry are calling for an affordable bus service, with the start of the school year just weeks away.
31 students are currently without a service from Bantry to Schull.
It will force over 20 parents to drive a 50 kilometre round trip each day to Schull.
Speaking to RedFM news, Helen O'Neill says parents having to drive the long distance is not feasible:
"It would just make sense to have this bus because there's so many of us that are working, there's so many of us that are tied down to schedules with other school drop offs and things like that. It's just not for feasible for us to be all driving over backwards and forwards. We probably could carpool but you're still going to be having a huge amount of cars on that road".
