Patrick Street in the busiest street in the country - for parking fines.
New figures from Cork City Council show that almost 3,000 vehicles were fined for for illegal parking on Pana in 2021.
Adrian Harmon has more for RedFM News:
"A total of 31,859 parking tickets were issued by traffic wardens in the city last year - up almost 6,000 on 2020.
The South Mall had historically been the street with most parking offences - in the country.
However, new figures from Cork City Council show that Patrick's Street took that title last year with 2,884 drivers being penalised.
The Irish Examiner is reporting that that's over twice as many fines as the top illegal parking blackspot in Dublin, the Main Street in Lucan.
Most parking fines on Patrick's Street were issued for parking in a "no parking" zone, in a loading bay or on a taxi rank.
The paper says Cork City Council collected just under 1.2 million euro from parking fines during 2021 - a 16% increase over the previous year.
