The proposed redevelopment of the Penny's store in Patrick’s Street has been given the green light.
The Irish Examiner report that a number of conditions have been attached, including the protection and conservation of the heritage of the site and the retention and exposure of cast iron columns in the former Munster Arcade.
When complete the project will increase the size of the retail space from 17,000 square feet to 54,000 square feet, and the store will take up most of the block between Patrick Street and Oliver Plunket Street.
