People with flood insurance who were affected by last week's devastating floods are being advised to document all damage.
The surge in insurance claims in recent days means that insurance companies are experiencing delays processing these claims - as they don't have enough Loss Adjustors.
Those who don't have flood cover are being encouraged to visit CitizensInformation.ie.
Speaking to RedFM News, Claims Manager at Campion Insurance, Stephen McKenna says evidence of damage needs to be saved:
"Call times are going to be affected because this has been an unprecedented event and a lot more claims have come in than would normally. The big issue as well, because it'll take a little bit longer to get any Loss Adjusters or Investigators out, it's important that all damages are documented. Take photographs, videos of the damage to the property and belongings, and this will help filing an insurance claim".
