Planning has been approved for the Cork University Business School.
The multi million euro development is set to be build on the former Brooks Houghton Site between South Terrace and Copley Street.
The Echo report that the building will range in height from 3 to 7 storeys, including lecture theatres, offices, a restaurant and a coffee dock.
18 and 19 south terrace will also be renovated for a study space and cafe.
The €106 development is subject to 60 conditions, which have not yet been published.
