Planning permission has been granted for the long awaited Endoscopy Unit at Bantry General Hospital.
The tender process for the planned Endoscopy Unit and 16 rehabilitation beds began earlier this month.
The HSE revealed this week that during the pandemic, outpatient waiting lists grew by 18%, with endoscopy waiting lists nationally increasing by 10,000 or almost 50%.
