Planning permission has been granted for a new school in Douglas.
Cork City Council have granted permission to the Cork Educate Together Secondary school for a 600 pupil school on a 22 acre site Carrigaline Road.
The three storey building will include a PE and multi purpose hall, a two classroom special educational unit and teacher and pupil facilities.
The school, the first of its kind outside of Dublin, is currently based in Griffith College on Wellington road and has 368 students.
